Finally! An unretouched ad for makeup! Make Up For Ever has released an ad, unretouched, and I think it looks great. This is the foundation that I use, (I am not just giving them a plug, I swear, I love this stuff). Even though it is $40, foundation is one makeup product you should not feel guilty about splurging on. You'd be surprised how much of a difference an amazing concealer and foundation can do. Go to a Sephora store near you and try stuff on. Find your favorite type (liquid, powder, cream, tinted moisturizer is great for the summer) and your closest shade. A great foundation can help keep your pores more clear too!
“Beauty, to me, is about being comfortable in your own skin. That, or a kick-ass red lipstick.” ~Gwyneth Paltrow

Marchesa
This photo makes me wish that I had her life. Shopping in a wicked cute outfit with perfect hair, a Chanel purse, and a recent Dior purchase. And sherbet. Most of all sherbet. If only I had her singing voice as well, beautifully showcased in the Phantom of the Opera (2004). Check it out below.

I Am Woman, Hear Me Roar
I AM WOMAN
Hear me roar. Hear me issue stock-purchase orders from the Wall Street trading floor. I am woman; I am not girl. I do not emulate the pop-burlesque fashion stylings of Ke$ha or Katy Perry. I do aspire to passe morning-after chic with bird's-nest hair and shredded leather leggings. No. Of Lana Turner and Barbra Stanwyck and Lena Horne I sing.

Oscar de la Renta's Fashion Advice
After 50 years of dressing stars with the fashion tastes of Rihanna to Anne Hathaway, Mr. Oscar de la Renta himself has some fashion advise for you at the French Institute Alliance Française in New York City this week.
"Dressing well is telling yourself many, many times, 'No I should not do it."
"When in doubt, don't. The one thing that won't lie to you is the mirror."
"What is important in dressing is understanding yourself. Don't follow any fads. If it's right for you, then wear it."
"You have to be elegant naked to be elegant dressed."
"Feeling good about yourself is the most important thing."

Fairytale Regions - Neuschwanstein Castle, Germany
Neuschwanstein Castle is a Gothic Revival Castle located near Bavaria, Germany. It was built in 1869 by the King for Richard Wagner, a composer whose operas Tannhauser and Lohengrin made a lasting impression on the King. Pictured directly above in the Hall of Singers, part of the elaborate interior of the castle. Does the exterior look familiar? That's probably because it was the inspiration for Sleeping Beauty's Castle in Disneyland, California.

Gossip Girl star Blake Lively got her big break in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. She didn't even audition for the role; she simply left a photo and they knew that she was perfect for the role of Bridget.
