Top 40 Best Dressed of 2011: Number 28
Oliva Palermo in a Valentino blouse and skirt with black platform pumps. I am in love with every Olivia wears, but this was my favorite from the year. The chunky pumps looks great with the sweet and sophisticated high waisted skirt with a girlie bow and a straight up AMAZING blouse, topped off with tangerine nails that pop.

10 Shoes Every Woman Should Own
Nude Peep Toe Pumps
These are the automatic make-my-legs-look-like-a-Victoria's-Secret-model shoes. Not to mention that they go with absolutely everything and show off a cute pedicure.
"Sandie" by Calvin Klein, $108 at Zappos
Black City Boots
These boots are great for work, meeting for drinks, or shopping on the weekend. Just make sure the heel isn't too high so you'll really be able to walk for miles in them. These boots have a stretch calf for an easy fit too!
"Loanna" by Calvin Klein, $99 at Piperlime
Black Ballet Flats
Flats are a must have for gals who want to be comfortable and fashionable at the same time. I would suggest black or another neutral so that you can wear it with any outfit. I love this pair by Me Too. This shoe line has built-in padding in all the right places so you won't have to worry about breaking them in.
Paige Flat by Me Too, $89 at metooshoes.com
Wooden Platform Sandals
These shoes are great for looking stylish in the summer and they are perfect for summer outdoor parties. I prefer wedges rather than heels since I find them more comfortable and the heels won't sink into the grass.
DVF Opal Crisscross Sandal, $295 at Neiman Marcus
Canvas Sneakers
Comfort, reliability, and easy on the go. What more could you need?
Converse Jack Purcell CP OX, $50 at Piperlime
Black Pumps
Blank pumps are great for work, going out, meeting for drinks, dates, almost any occasion you can think of. If you only buy one shoe for yourself, this would be the one to go for.
Pamela 1 by BCBGMAXAZRIA, originally $225 but on sale for $140 at Piperlime
Metallic Sandals
Get a pair in gold and another pair in silver. That way you'll have a pair to match any dress you have for a wedding or formal event. It's always great to have them at the ready.
Silver Pair: Ivanka Trunp "Doublet" $140 at Bloomingdales
Gold Pair: Jimmy Choo Wavy Strap Sandal, $695 at Neiman Marcus
Suede Booties
These boots are great for fall, most of my boots are suede. You can wear them with skinny jeans or trousers. But be sure to waterproof them in case of rainy weather.
Earlene by Nine West, originally $129 but on sale for $80 at Zappos
Flat Leather Sandals
Leather sandals are my summer staple. You can wear them with shorts and a fun tee or with a sun dress. Make sure if you get a pair that they are comfortable and in a neutral because you will definitely be wearing them a lot.
"Dalcin" Flat Sandals by Tory Burch, $275 at Bloomingdales
Gorgeous Shoes To Splurge On That Make You Happy
Every girl deserves a pair of shoes that are just for fun! Sometimes it's best to get fun shoes that you know you'll get a chance to wear often and not just sit in your closet. If you go to a lot of formal events, get fun party heels. Cute yet comfortable you're staple? Get flats. Do you live in an eternally cold climate where it would be totally unreasonable to buy anything besides boots? Invest in embellished ankle or knee boots. Sunny climate? Get sandals. Workaholic? Invest in cute work heels that you can show off!
Strappy Heels: "Gemma" by Kate Spade New York, $325 at Kate Spade.com
Flats: "Noelle" by Kate Spade New York, originally $350 but on sale for $227 at Saks Fifth Avenue.com

Blake Lively in Chanel at a dinner hosted by the label. Blake was all about Chanel this year, wearing it everywhere as well as being named the new face of the brands handbags. I love that Blake has taken a risk with this dress, but in a neutral color with matching shoes and puts some color in it with the emerald green post earrings, which make the outfit in my opinion.

Kate Bosworth in a great little black dress by Valentino. I love that the modest sleeves and neckline show some skin and the bow in the front is a great touch (I'm a sucker for bows on dresses). Best of all, her sleek pulled back hair and simple makeup and accessories don't challenge the dress for attention.

Kirsten Dunst in Derek Lam earlier this month. I love that Kirsten spiced up the simple design and color of the dress with a great bold clutch and cocktail ring. Not to mention her hair looks flawless. Pick up the latest issue of Lucky Magazine to read an interview with Kirsten, the shopping mag's covergirl for the month!
