2012 Academy Award's Wist List

Berenice Bejo, nominated for Best Supporting Actress for The Artist, in Christian Dior. Bernice looks great in dark violet shades and would look stunning in something so romantic.

Glenn Close, nominated for Best Actress in Albert Nobbs, in Badgley Mischka.

Jessica Chastain, nominated for Best Supporting Actress in The Help, in Marchesa. This dress is a very Old Hollywood style, which Jessica does so well, not to mention this shade of indigo would look great with her hair color.

Melissa McCarthy, nominated for Best Supporting Actress in Bridesmaids, in Badgley Mischka, a favorite designer of the star who is a pro at gorgeous beading and embellishment, especially on necklines.

Viola David, nominated for Best Actress in The Help, in Marchesa. Viola did wear a Marchesa gown from the same collection earlier this year, so I would be surprised if she worn another look from the same collection again, but I think this shade of yellow would be lovely on her.

Meryl Streep, nominated for Best Actress in The Iron Lady, in Carolina Herrera. The Queen of the Best Actress Category (she has been nominated 17 times and won twice - a record in the category) looks great  in ball gown styles. I'd love to see her in this bold color.

Michelle Williams, nominated for Best Actress in My Week With Marilyn, in Elie Saab.

Rooney Mara, nominated for Best Actress in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, in Armani Prive. Rooney has said that she has had a very difficult time breaking away from her style for the role in the film she's nominated for. I would love to see her expand her color palette (a red would be awesome), but I think baby steps might be the way to go. This look is very literally, especially when looking at her film role, but she is probably the only person who would rock this collection.

Janet McTeer, nominated for Best Supporting Actress in Albert Nobbs, in Christian Siriano.

Octavia Spencer, nominated for Best Supporting Actress in The Help, in a great sherbet colored Marchesa gown that would be perfect with a small alternation of the neckline being a bit higher.
