When I first starting watching Sex and the City, the jury was out on Carrie's style. But as the Seasons progressed (Season 5 and Season 6 are the best hands down, no contest), the more I adored her. And some of her best style moments occur at pivotal points in Carrie's life. 

Photo 1 - End of Season 3, when Carrie finally decides that she will pursue a friendship with Big

Photo 2 - Carrie and Aiden break up at the end of Season 4. 

Photo 3 - Before Carrie leaves for Paris in Season 6, it's the big fight between Carrie and Big when he tells her he finally wants to commit.

As a huge fan of The Way We Were this scene that ended Season 2 was when I knew I loved Sex and the City
