Everyday Monotone Style

Who: Emmy Rossum and Maggie Q

What: Emmy in J.Mendel bright orange top and skirt with espresso suede pumps and Maggie in Max Mara yellow crew neck shirt and chino shorts and black loafer-style flats.

Why It Works: When you do bright colored separates, they absolutely have to match to a tee if you want to do the same color. If the color is super close but not exact, it will not look as put together, and it will probably just bug you. Although you do not need to have long sleeves, I personally like the proportion of it, but in the summer I will do this with shorts and a tank since it gets so hot in D.C. Again, keep the accessories, shoes, and hair simple. The color will speak for itself.

Who: Oliva Wilde and Liv Tyler

What: Antonio Berardi sheath with Brian Atwood pumps and Stella McCartney crew neck sheath dress with black pumps and clutch

Why It Works: The color of these dresses are phenomenal. The cut is simple and classy and highlights their waist's at the right point. Accessories and hair aren't fussy.

Looking for Something Simpler? Bright Hues Too Much For You?

Who: Sandra Bullock (at the premiere of friend Ryan Reynold's movie The Change Up)

What: Black Lanvin jumpsuit with Penny Preville and Adeler gold jewelry and black strappy heels.

Why It Works: To wear a jumpsuit, you really have to think about proportion and fit. Personally, I am still looking for the perfect one. It has to emphasize the part of your waist that is the smallest, which this does on Sandra. Since it's strapless as well, it shows enough skin so that she doesn't look completely washed out in black. It is simple, easy, and sexy.

Style Icon - Rosie Huntington-Whitely

English-born Rosie Huntington-Whitely grew up on a rural farm for most of her life. But in 2003 the beauty began modeling and nowadays she is probably best known for her work in Transformers: The Dark Side of the Moon. Before the film, she had modeled for Abercrombie & Fitch, Burberry, Bloomingdale's, Ralph Lauren, DKNY, and was named a Victoria's Secret Angel in 2009. She is now the face of the Burberry Body fragrance line and was named a Style Icon at the Elle Style Awards in 2012.

Style Icon - Blake Lively

Gossip Girl star Blake Lively got her big break in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. She didn't even audition for the role; she simply left a photo and they knew that she was perfect for the role of Bridget.
